About me…….

My relationship with costume began on stage, through the need to support a story with the body.

Although my initial academic path was in business and economics, the urge for creative expression led me to fashion and, inevitably, to theatre.

I studied Fashion Design and Pattern Cutting at Pansik Scuola di Moda and Styling at the School of Trends in London, and in recent years, I have been working actively as a costume designer in theatre, collaborating with directors and scenographers.

For me, costume is a dramaturgical tool. Through material, form and movement, the character is built and the stage presence is intensified. My parallel experience as a performer allows me to approach the garment not only as an aesthetic object but as a functional extension of the body.

My engagement with theatre was also the point where my relationship with textile as a living material began to take shape. Nadia Kosta By Nature emerged from this need — as a practice of creating handcrafted garments and accessories from natural fibres, using eco-printing and natural dye techniques to produce one-of-a-kind wearable pieces.

My work moves between theatre and contemporary wearable art, always centred on identity, transformation and the dialogue between body and material.
